An affiliate of the RD Corporation, PenBank, Inc. started as the Rural Bank of Tupi in 1980. In 1996, Rodrigo E. Rivera Sr. acquired 100 percent of the rural bank and renamed it PenBank. The bank continuously grew its portfolio and operations that successfully elevated its bank operations to private development bank in 2014.
Beyond its traditional banking services and with more than 40 branches mostly in Visayas and Mindanao, Penbank has developed bank products and services which cater to the needs of the agricultural sector such as various agricultural loans, and farm equipment financing.
Established in 1976 as the first business establishment of the Rivera Family, RD Pawnshop Inc. has grown to a total of 1000+ branches nationwide and counting. With pawning as its primary business, the company collaborated with partners offering domestic and international remittance, collection services in the payment of utility bills, airline booking payments, and other related merchants all for the convenience of its clientele.
RD Credit Corporation was initially established as a credit institution engaged in financing commercial, agricultural, manufacturing ventures, and consumer needs with its short to medium term loans at reasonable and competitive interest rates.
Expanding its operation, the company established its first Visayas branch in Iloilo City in 2014. With a total of 18 branches, the company forged product innovation and expansion programs that are as competitive with traditional financial institutions such as banks.
Complementing the financial group is South Celebest Life and Non-Life Insurance, Inc. The company offers traditional life insurance products, as well as, general insurance products covering risks such as property loss due to fire, liability arising from property damage, and accidental death or injury.
